How old is your oldest powder?

Slugs in a bolt action shotgun

Unless it's the BRI sabot slug sold by Winchester. Despite their statement that they're only accurate through rifled bores, they were designed and originally sold by BRI to be used in smoothbores.

    FEG hi power

I had an FEG HP in the 1990s. Wish I'd never sold it. Live and learn the hard lessons.

Those little 1862 Pocket Police revolvers are sweet.

Shooting 32 S&W long wadcutters in a medium frame 32 Merwin Hulbert?

No, but now I'm going to have to find out how well .32 HBWCs fit the chambers of my Uberti 1849 pocket .31.

1849 Pocket .31 Italian Cased Set

I bought my new Uberti Pocket .31 this year. Yep, they run about $350 EACH now. Two of them. A nice case. A mold. A flask. That combo does not come cheap. Buying them all separately would easily cost over $1,000 new. My question is what are the grips made of? If they're bone, ivory, or elk...

Will do. However, It's done it since 1995.

    Remington 870 Express magnum 20ga won't feed 3" shells.

Vigorously. I always cycle my pumps vigorously. Both the receiver and the barrel are marked Magnum.

    Remington 870 Express magnum 20ga won't feed 3" shells.

Long story short, in the mid 1990s, I decided I was tired of lugging my 12 gauge around all day when hunting doves, squirrels, and rabbits. So, I bought a nearly new 870 Express Magnum from a local shop. I hunted with it and enjoyed how much less it weighed and kicked. It's always cycled 2-3/4"...

    1858 Grips

I have a pair of those holly grips from Private's. Bought them from him when the Ruger flat top .44 Special BH came out. They look closer to ivory than the resin based grips. Gorgeous grips. prefect fit.

Thinking about a black powder revolver

I'm a big fan of the 5.5" barreled Pietta Remington .44. It's handy and balances well in the hand. I'd like to get a couple more. one to give me a brace of 5.5s, and another to make a bulldog a la Mike Beliveau.

Here is a tip many of you may not have thought about.

For the record, I strongly prefer lead shot.

Here is a tip many of you may not have thought about.

What about using shot wraps inside of shot cups, with the bearing balls as shot? The hardness of the balls is of no consequence, if the balls don't touch the barrel.
