Marlin 336A .35 Rem, made in 1951 thoughts

If it's in good shape, and you want it, there isn't any reason to hold back. Sent from 80ms in the future Jimmy

    non nfa pistol stock?

Because it's a rest and not a stock, as it isn't attached to the pistol. Rather, the handgun is supported by the rest, and your hand brings it all together. And yes, this is not a new concept. The spin here is materials, and tacticool AR-15 stocks. Sent from 80ms in the future Jimmy

    "00" or #4?

OP, with the scenario you're describing, I'd be tempted to skip a load off the ground a bit in front of two or three of them (assuming there's a safe firing background). Nasty wounds, but likely non-life threatening. A .22 will work for this as well. IIRC the angle is deflection is roughly 1/2...

What's the most uncommon cartridge you load for?

IIRC there was an article in SWAT magazine about the how-to's using 5.56 brass. It seemed super involved. Sent from 80ms in the future Jimmy

Another scratch build; Ultralight folding .22 semi-auto.

That is coming along splendidly! Sent from 80ms in the future Jimmy

    Tikka T3 Lite 7mm-08

This! The 6.5 Swede is essentially the ballistic twin of the .260 Rem, which is itself a necked down .308, just like the 7-08 and .243. But the Swede really shines. Light recoil, accurate, and lots a decent factory ammo. I think the only reason it's not more popular here is it's a long action...

Would a hammer-head type of grip be better for your design? Obviously, you could design your own; maybe something with lines that flowed better with the rest of the gun (you also wouldn't machine attachment points at the rear).

My newest Model 10-6 (Not safe for SW purists)

That is a huge pile of AWESOME! Not where I would have taken it (those grips are the hid), but way cool. Keep up the good work (an accuracy report will be required). Sent from 80ms in the future Jimmy

    Barrel profiling - your experience?

ADCO is a good call. For the money, you might also look at Black Hole Weaponry, or Ballistic Advantage for light weight barrels.

Buying my first handgun - help needed!

OP - cost and ammo selection are big factors, but I tell most first time buyers to go by feel as much as anything. If the gun doesn't fit your hand right, you will have a more difficult time shooting it well. As for having to carry with an empty chamber, the Israelis used to carry that way...

    Guns at political conventions

The RNC is a private event, not open to the general public (and the guy who started the petition is an internet troll). But there is more to consider here; There are several places in the United States that firearms are prohibited, and for reasons that have nothing to do with gun-free zones...

    Funnest gun you have shot

HK MP5/10! Back when the FBI was transitioning to 10mm, couple of agents came to the range to familiarize themselves with the new gun (but mostly I think just to show off). While everybody was gawking, I walked up and asked if I could fire a few rounds. Semi-auto only, but HOT DANG! It was...

Thanks for the info. I'm Glock-free as of now, but always happy for knowledge.

    Blk Buffalo Horn Grips

They need to be cleaned first. Neatsfoot oil is good. There are a couple of threads on different blade forums. Sent from 80ms in the future Jimmy
