Does anyone here know of a site that covers these pistols?
I have a friend that has one he would like to sell and I am trying to help establish a price range for the gun.
I believe it is a pocket type 32 ACP. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

P 97
My Ruger P 97 shoots on par with the Sig 220 and yet cost half of the price.
With Ruger, the luck of the draw comes into play. Two specimens may yield entirely different results even if purchased at the same time.
I am not on Ruger's pay roll and in general don't care for their...
Sig GSR
Look for a used one. They don't resell well. Check for hammer lean and the sharp edges.
I bought mine used and am completely satisfied with the gun. However, they are still 1911's and can have the same and different glitches as other 1911 style.
By all means try to test fire...
Ruger P 95 and P 97
I have a P 95. It shoots nine mm. just fine. The P 97
shoots well and is accurate with my hand loads.
I think the performance of both is excellent.

Cougar 8045
I had one that was DAO. Good gun. Just couldn't get into the DAO habit!! Gun was thick as mentioned. Traditional double action may be OK. Gun functioned flawlessly.
Good luck on finding a used one.

Glock 17
The gunsmith fixed the problem identified by the other
posters. It took about 5 minutes for the job.
Thanks to all posters. I hope readers have received
benefit from this thread.
Glock 17
I bought it from Gander Mountain and it is under
warranty. So I will take it back to them. I agree with
your assessment. I had the gunsmith put in a 3.5 pound
connector. May be that happened when everything was
reassembled.
Basically, I asked the question so that I will know...
I have a Glock 17 that with magazine out will lock open
when pulled all the way back.
As best I can tell, the slide lock is at fault.
Has anyone experienced this before with Glocks.
Thanks

I agree with the comments about the Model 29.
This would be the gun I would want if it were the only
one I could afford, but could also afford reloading.
While not a 29, I have a 629 Classic that I really do
enjoy.
Congratulations on finding the guns for your discerning tastes!
