Those high pressure calibers in pistol , Starline is a really good insurance purchase. The only new brass I have boughten was Starline in 40Super and 38Super. 45Super ,41Mag, and 10mm are good candidates also.

The shims are because of the differences between deck heights between 2 separate mfg's presses(1 a progressive, 1 a SS) not because of anything that has to do with the bushings. The bushing are pricey but once you use them, you really learn to appreciate the quickness and ease of die removal...

As long as you get the bullets that are at least .001"(up to .0025ish) over bore size harness won't make much of a difference. 12 bhn will shoot the same as 24bhn at the same fps. The only place where I've found harder is better is with certain caliber the harder grips better without skidding...

I take a fired case and bump it with the sizer die(not run it through) so it lightly holds a bullet but can be pushed in with moderate pressure. I then chamber the dummy round and the bullet will get pushed in as the action locks up. Then carefully extract the round so as to not bump the bullet...

It's one of my favorite powders. #7 or even #9 may work better in the 10, but #5 is better in the other calibers. Why limit yourself to just one powder? the cost is the same, either way you need powder, why not just use one of the better powders for each caliber than to just have one that works...

They don't look like my Nosler hp's. They do look similar to Hornady XTP's except no crisp "shoulder" from the flat to the angle. My guess would be Remington hp's or even Winchester's, their bulk packaged bullets.
