    Bren Guns

MudPuppy, They did make them to chamber the 7.62 NATO and the guns were designated as the L4...sometime in the late 1950's I think. These particular guns can be easily recognized by the straight, rather than curved, magazine.

    AKM or '47?

I too own a Vector Arms AKMS. I prefer the AKM pattern because they're: Cheaper Lighter And the slant compensator actually works. :)

    Quick poll on the 1911

I've owned a couple, but I still shoot better with my Hi-Powers. The 1911 is a very fine weapon, but it's just not for me.

    BAR vs BREN

Opsie. My mistake.:) The British did rechamber the BREN for 7.62x51 in 1958. It became known as the L4. Remained in British and Commonwealth service till the 1990s. I believe New Zealand still uses them in her reserve forces.

    BAR vs BREN

BREN. Standard magazine held 30 instead of 20. Has adjustable gas regulator, BAR does not. Top loading magazine - a plus in certain situations. Easier to field strip and maintain. BARREL CAN BE EASILY SWAPPED OUT IN THE FIELD

    Taurus handguns

"For instance their internal locks on their revolvers are a much better design than the S&W counterpart." Yeah. I also like how they made the safety/decocker lever frame mounted instead of slide mounted on their Model 92 clones. The lifetime warrantee on their guns is also a plus.
