1891 Argentine Mauser bolt hard to close.

You say you're running reloads in it. Have you tried closing the bolt on a factory 7.65 round for comparison sake just to eliminate the possibility of ammo causing your stiff bolt?

    Colt Trooper MKIII opinions?

I picked this Trooper up last year for just under $800. Came with the factory box, which had seen far better days, but I think I was the first person to ever fire it. 1976 according to Colt. I wouldn't be scared of picking it up if you're comfortable with the price and want it. Mine shoots...

I preordered one. His books are treasure troves of information and great reference material.

The civilian PDW and my Sig MPX Copperhead

Sounds like you got a screaming deal and came out with the best option for a PDW. I'm jealous, that's a fine looking set up.

    Would you Colt 1917?

I tried moonclips and ditched them fast. I scrounged up 45 Auto Rim brass and enjoy enjoy the loading/unloading process more for shooting in the backyard. If that was my service weapon, though, I would quickly see the value in moon and halfmoon clips.

Walked into a Gun Shop Friday and saw this... AUG Clone MSAR

I have a MSAR flat top that I bought about 10 years ago off someone who worked at Wolff Springs. The rifle has been 100% reliable, but I believe he said he installed all their kits into it. For well less than $1,000 I got the rifle and about 20 AUG mags for it. It's fun, it's different, I...

    Aimpoint pro

Dollar spent to optic gained, the ACO is the way to go. My personal opinion is the things you gain with the PRO are nice to haves but not need to haves. I would argue the OP should dip his toes into the red dot world with the exceptionally affordable ACO, which he may never need to upgrade...

    Aimpoint pro

https://aimpoint.us/aimpoint-carbine-optic-aco-red-dot-reflex-sight-with-mount-2-moa-200174/ This is a pretty darn affordable option for a real Aimpoint. Granted $350 is a lot of money, but this is arguably better than any Sig Romeo or Holosun. Caveat, I have a couple Sig Romeos as filler...
