    G42: Your experience

I love mine. The top performing Hornady XTP rounds catch on the feed ramp some times when chambering the first round. I use Fiocchi 90 gr jhp marked "380APHP" which has a more rounded profile then the .XTP. This is not the same as Fiocchi extrema which has the xtp bullet. I have the 03 mag w...

WAS going to go P365, but went G43

The G43 is a great concealed carry option due in part to the very small grip making the pistol easy to hide . The accuracy is excellent, I attribute this to the quality of the rifling and barrel . I'm going to give Sig plenty of time to get the bugs out before I consider the P365. The Glock...

Hornady standing up against New York

I have been using the value- priced Hornady "American Gunner" ammo in my concealed carry piece. The XTP bullet is well suited for carry and self defense so I'm glad to support Hornady.

    Let's Talk .380

I am a huge .380 fan, using a G42 for concealed carry use. My example runs well with the Hornady XTP 90 grain that everyone seems to use these days. I'm getting older and don't want much in the way of blast and recoil so its a natural for me. Factor in 3 surgeries and you can see why I'm a .380...

    Found a Unicorn Sig P365

I fired the P365 recently. The female owner had just received it back from Sig after repairs. The accuracy was top notch, and the size was just a bit bigger than my G42. She received the x ray sights free of charge. A very nice trigger ,I was impressed.

    Got my Glock 19X

Our LGS had one19X in stock. A female walked in and bought it on the spot. Evidently the full size M&P 9mm 5" ver 2.0 is available in FDE only. A female purchased that one as well. She referred to FDE as "mud". Nice pistols, beauty in the eye of the beholder…

General consensus on the glock 42

I'm happy w my G42. I use a Bladetech Klipt Iwb holster, which I also use as a pocket holster since the trigger is properly enclosed. I installed Trijicon Bright and Tough NS since the rear is low profile and lines up with the sight guard on the klipt holster. Excellent in all conditions. Mine...

What Caliber Do You Carry Most?

I cant believe I am too lazy to carry anything but a 380. Glock 42 in Bladetech iwb is my "go to" ccw. Its smaller than some people's phones in this day and age.

New gun -- Smith and Wesson 3913 LS

You will be pleased with the accuracy. The magazines are still out there.

Would You Trust Your Life With A .380?

Yes. The Glock42 with hornady xtp. Bladetec klipt holster.Trijicon brite and tough sights .This pistol is accurate to 50 ft and reliable. It will sometimes not feed the first hollow point if the slide is not racked hard to the rear limit of travel. It will not do this with ball. This is in my...

Glock 42 slide locks back prematurely - Again

Do you have the latest parts ? My G42 has the -2 slide stop and 02 below the 5 digit number on the magazines. You may need to contact Glock .

    Can't hate Glock much now

I just bought one 3 months ago. I paid $350 at the LGS used but like new in the box. I researched and read about quite a few problems in 2014. It seems that Glock changed the mags 3 times, and the slide stop 2 times. My slide stop has -2 on it, and the magazines have 02 under the 5 digit part...

    What about a S&W CS 9

Nice ccw pistol. Long discontinued but top quality as are all 3rd gen S&W. You may find the CS9 or CS45 in both traditional and double action only variants. Parts can still be found in places.

    Sig 290RS bad or good?

I strongly agree on the DAO trigger being about the safest pistol to have on your person with a round in the chamber. I use an old Smith 3953 for this reason. Some have reported the P290RS as a pita to field strip.Sig quality is usually quite good. I too ended up having to dropping down to a...
