    Rossi 92 reviews

I own 2 of them, a 45 colt and a 454 Casull. Both made a trip to Rossi CS with average turn around of 7 business days, both problems I could of fixed myself. Both are very good guns especially for the prices new.

    Rossi or Henry

I just recently bought my 3rd Rossi lever gun. I have a 45 Colt, 454 Casull in the 92 and a Rio Grande in 45-70. Love them all with a weaver scout scope on the 454 Casull and a Bushnell banner on the 45-70. No complaints with any though I totally dismantle, clean then check for burrs etc and put...

    Lee Hand Press

I have one to go with my Lee Classic Turret and Lee Classic Cast presses. I use it at my cowboy action shoots to decap my 45 Black powder brass after each set to get them in to soapy water before they turn black. Later I rinse and dry the brass to tumble polish. I've also used mine to do fining...

    Turret Press Question

I use the Lee Classic Turret and use the Lee Pro Powder measure for the pistols but switch to the Lee Perfect Powder measure for stick powders which I use with my 45-70 and run the press without the indexing rod or prime with the hand primer so I don't have it in the way. Perfect Adapters makes...

Lee Classic Turret / Lee Pro Auto Disk

Two things I use an Inline Fabrication handle on my LCT and find it easier on the arm, shoulder and back I got at http://inlinefabrication.com/ Also there is a recommended break in with the Lee Pro powder system. I used graphite with mine however running a hopper full of powder thru it will...

Anyone else impressed with the Lee 1000 Progressive Press?

I actually purchased 2 Pro 1000 presses for my first setup used from a friend who was getting out of it due to health problems. One was setup for 9mm the other for 45 Colt. I used some video's posted by Cowboy T to find out the ins and outs and produced a few thousand rounds of both 9mm and 45...

    Success with Titegroup

I also like Titegroup in 9mm and 45 ACP and find it very accurate with either cast or jacketed bullets. I also find it pretty clean compared to others I've tried. My only con is being very careful not to double charge but then I weigh every load when using it.

    EAA Witness Question

You might check out https://us.armscor.com/products/ as they make the small frame MAP/MAPP lines which is what I think you might be talking about. It seem Tanfoglio designed both the large and small frame guns. Armscor builds one and EAA handles the other. Armscor however stands behind their...

    Reloading With Black Powder?

Actually guys cleaning up after BP isn't that hard just don't use your usual petro based products. All it takes is a mild soap and water, dry completely then lube with oil well. Even better yet get Ballistol and follow the directions. Other wise get ready to see rust in a few days.

    Reloading With Black Powder?

Calibers such as 38, 44, 45 etc all started as black powder and should be fine with modern single or double action guns as well as rifles (bolt/lever). Now I'm not sure how long an auto feeder will function as stated by others black powder is dirty. Just a note though, even some modern SAA...

Solving 454 Casull Crimp Jump (I hope)

I never tried a shim but am getting the same crimp on 454 cases. However mine was a Lee custom die that was sold by Ranch Dog. It also has a slightly wider space between the slots in the collet.

Solving 454 Casull Crimp Jump (I hope)

I have use Lee Dies sizing and bullet seating dies for 454 however I use the Lyman M die to expand followed by the Lee Powder thru die. I then crimp with a Redding Profile crimp for cast or the Ranch Dog version of the 45 Colt FCD for jacketed bullets such as shown. Now I've never used a shim...

Favorite "gun" scene in a movie?

For me the best gun movies where the Boon Dock Saints films. For westerns I would say Quigley Down Under and his sharps rifle. As for down right ridiculous would be a grade D horror flick called Komodo vs Cobra with their never guns (Beretta 92) that have magazine where the bullets never run out.

Lee pro auto-disk powder measure complete charge table

Here is what I use, Ranch Dog's VMD calculator which lists Lee's powder disk sizes you would need for single or double disk setups as well as dipper and other information. I've used it now for about a year and it is all I use now. This is an Excel spreed sheet that will run under some free...

Interested in cowboy action. Teach me

Actually it will depend on the organization you join. For example I belong to NCOWS which is strict on period correct both cloths and arms. They also have targets further out that say SASS and accuracy is graded stronger than speed. Now both are fun to compete in however speed is the game in...
