My wife bought me one as a gift in 1982 .I have had it 38 yrs and it is totally reliable. I have shot thousands of rounds with it.
In that time I once replaced the firing pin and couple of small parts .
I have been using Red Dot and Green Dot for 12 gauge and 357 loads for years. I also use Red Dot for 9mm and 38 sp. 700x is also a good powder but I find that it tends to clump up and that can affect drop weights.
I bought my first one back in July. An Anderson Arms .In my opinion the design is ingenious in its simplicity.. The controls are instinctive and the disassembly for cleaning and parts replacement is easy.
I jumped into the AR market today. I bought a Anderson AR for $599 and I know that they were $400 to $450 in Jan. With the election in Nov.
and manufacturing at 50% at best ; I bought one before the price goes higher.

The Axis ,ATR , etc. Does anyone see any time in the future where these budget bolt action rifles can hold any resale value. I don't see them as throw away but I don't see much re sale or trade in value. Am I right?
