My Beeman R1 177 works great on tree rats. I use the H&N wadcutter pellet. Also use Kania traps. The break the neck.

I put a Leupold VX-3i 1.5 X 5 on mine. It works great with good bolt clearance.

There is nothing in the Lyman # 4 shotshell either. I only use 571 for 16 guage 1 1/8 loads.
