I solved my bifocal vision problem relative to gun sights by means of Crimson Trace LG 405 Lasergrips installed on two S&W J-Frame revolvers.

Right you are. I have the LG 405 Lasergrip on it, and the soft rubber behind the hammer can be squeezed so as to stop the hammer from cocking. Many thanks for solving the problem.
