    Japanese Arisaka Rifles

OP, any interest in an Arisaka Type I (as in "I-talian") made by Beretta for Italy's then-ally, Japan? I inherited a bring-back from my father that shoots fine (6.5) and cleaned up well. No glamorous story, my dad bought it when he was in the Navy (WW2 or Korea, not sure which, he served in...

Ruger KGP100 22LR report and question

A number of handguns, SIG Sauer's in particular, are intentionally set up at the factory with a "combat" sight picture that requires placing the front sight dot on top of the point of aim, rather than underneath for a "pumpkin on a post" sight picture.

    Will Brasso work on nickel?

I was using Fitz today to polish a sterling silver money clip and noticed a very strong ammonia smell. Don't know how the ammonia content compares to Brass.

    bisley conversion

Not shot it yet (it just arrived this evening), but I've dry fired it a bit, and it feels like my other 3 Ruger Bisleys, so I believe it'll shoot just fine.

    bisley conversion

Post #4 has the "before" fitting picture of my Ruger Single Six. Below are the "after" pictures (credit for the conversion work goes to John Gallagher of Jasper, Alabama; credit for the photos is mine, as a reminder not to give up my day job):

    Too much recoil

Trade in the SP for a GP100 -- more mass and a bigger grip.

    bisley conversion

My Single Six conversion (for which I posted the "before" picture above) is due to come in on Monday. In the meantime, here are two pictures of a factory Bisley BH (.45 Colt -- shortest barrel) and two "after" Bisley conversions (.357mag BH, .44mag SBH) done by John Gallagher:

    bisley conversion

I don't have "before" pictures of the centerfire conversions, but the Single Six shown above is due to come in this week, and I'll post a picture of it's "after" configuration.

    bisley conversion

I've had 3 stainless steel Rugers (.44 SBH, .357Mag BH, .22LR Single Six) converted to Bisley grip frames. Here is the list of parts that you need to do one Bisley grip frame conversion for a large frame stainless steel Ruger Blackhawk or SBH (Midway Parts Numbers except as noted)...

    Pump-action "AR15" MSR

A bayonet lug is not an AW evil feature in California.

    Marlin Camp Carbine help

Google "marlin camp bolt fissure", you will see a Marlin Camp FAQ link, search that page for "fissure"; bottom line, no problem.

    Are Glocks Ugly?

    To OP: Yes. Next question?

    Bore Flags?

Red rubber balloon, perhaps? Definitely not an obstruction. Use a sharpie pen to note the cartridge type.

    Wrong 6.5!

Are you sure it's a sporterized Swedish Mauser (in my understanding, only made originally in 6.5x55)? Could it be a sporterized Arisaka Type I (made in Italy, 6.5x50, based on Carcano action; I have a non-sporterized Arisaka Type I made by Beretta)? It's not clear to me how a Swedish Mauser...

    M PRO 7 cleaning stuffs.....any opinions?

Why are you rinsing your pistol barrels with water after using MPro7? I just follow up with something like WeaponShield (which itself has some solvent ability); a CLP should work also.
