What is the most recent knife you bought?

Kershaw Launch 1 Automatic knife. Auto openers are legal in Oregon. I really like it, just wish it had a blade lock, had it open a couple of times in my pocket and it is extremely sharp. Cut my leg and cut a hole in my pocket. But a great knife.

    Sharpening

DMT diamond stones and my Work sharp sharpener. I have the super fine DMT and it really puts a fine edge on the my knives. The Work sharp makes it almost too easy. I can put a wicked edge on all our knives and it only takes an hour or so, kitchen knives, pocket knives, and anything with an...

Benchmade Griptillian and Leatherman Surge, almost always on my side the Grip is in my pocket 90% of the time.

What is your favorite folder you own?

Benchmade Griptilian 551, I love it, its the plain edge. I also have the serrated version as well, but prefer the plain edge. Also carry a leatherman wave and a micra. Sundays I carry something a little less aggressive looking, a Case sod buster jr or maybe a swiss army knife. I have to say...

Ruger mk iii 22/45 not firing

Hi, The gun is totally stock. The trigger does feel strange. I pull it and it feels light, like there is no load, also feels gritty. I have looked at a bunch of websites, will have to check my iPad and see if I have looked at those. Thanks all! Johnny

Ruger mk iii 22/45 not firing

Hi, The end of the firing pin looks normal. When I had it stripped down, I looked at the magazine safety and it appears to be working fine. Also the silver bar from the trigger to the hammer appears to move properly when I work the trigger. What I'm hearing is a click, but no hammer fall. I...

Ruger mk iii 22/45 not firing

Thanks, Took the gun apart and took the large spring off of the bolt. Removed the pin holding the firing pin in place and removed the firing pin. The firing pin is fine, the rebound spring that's under the firing pin looks fine, no little pieces fell out and everything looked good...

Ruger mk iii 22/45 not firing

Hi All, I have a Ruger mk3 22/45, I have had it for several years and haven't shot it nearly enough. Recently took it out to do some plinking and it's not firing. I think the problem is the hammer isn't releasing, I hear a click when I pull the trigger, but no shot is fired. I have looked at...

What's your age group and what do you carry?

43 usually my P3AT, as a I believe the first rule in carrying a gun, is to carry a gun. I do sometimes carry my XD 9mm. I would like to carry my 1911, but I can't keep my pants up without suspenders when carrying it.

What knife sharpener should I get?

Love my Worksharp, it does a good job of sharpening all my knives. For field use or for touch up I like the diamond sharpeners. I have the DMT dual sided sharpener fine/extra fine and it a does a nice job. My son is a Boy Scout and comes to me to sharpen his knives, he wants to use the...

    Sunday Go To Meeting knives

One of my Sunday Go to Meeting Knives I sometimes carry this little knife, it literally disappears in my pocket. While not large enough for serious work, it can handle the more mundane tasks quite well. The one thing about this knife is the bolsters don't seem like the right style for a 2005...
