I haven’t tried the Baldwin sights… I do have some Kelley sights and also a set of Lee Shaver‘s that I really like. Maybe I should look into the Baldwins for the next rifle?

For what I’m looking at doing you’re limited to cast bullets and open sights. So with that restriction going to a modern round might actually be a handicap....

Barrel gap should be .006” for standard and regular magnum calibers. There’s a feeler gauge you insert in the gap then snug it down.

Did someone say 1911? I have a DW 1911A2 that shoots as good as the OP’s 22. No MIM parts on a DW 1911, all forged and hand fitted. Only wish I could afford more of them.

My former "Holy Grail" gun was this one..... But I own it now (along with serial numbered box and all paperwork and accoutrements), so doesn't qualify per the OP's instructions. My current "Holy Grail" is this...

I'm glad you bought it. DW 22's are fairly rare. Most common is the 357, then the 44, then the 22. Probably 10 357's made for every 44, and 20 357's made for every 22...when you get into the weeds with 41 mags, 32 mags, 45 colts, any of the 4 super mags, and so forth, you are on a true tiny...

Hey Paul...that 2.5" 44 barrel is SWEET....never seen one in the flesh!! Looking to buy one though LOL.... Also really like the polish job on the 357...the "melted" look the gunsmith did blends really nice with the EWK barrel. Super good looking!!
