    PTR91 owners

I've found a site which contains a TON of useful info about G3 rifles most of which also applies to the HK91. Info on scopes and mounts, sight adjustment, lots of illustrative pics, etc. Site is www.mg-42.net. Give me your thoughts.

    HK91/PTR91 owners - port buffers

Port buffer update, finally did some shooting with the port buffer on. If you have a PTR91 and want to reload and you are on the fence about getting a port buffer, delay no longer. This thing is the ticket to keep your brass from getting the nasty ding on the mouth. Nothing you can do about...

    sight for a 640

Ditto on the XS sights, can't go wrong with either standard dot or big dot although the standard dot seems to be more proportional with rear sight slot on the M640.

    HK91/PTR91 owners - port buffers

Port buffers were available from RTG parts as of last week. They also have wide handguards, bipods and some other goodies. I have no connection with this outfit other than sending them quite a bit of cash over the last year.

Dave R, How about a picture of your handiwork? How long before you have to put another one on? Neck damage seems to be my biggest problem. Thanks!!!

    PTR91 Loads

Thanks to all so far, anyone have any experience with W748? Also, I'm thinking of a bullet weight somewhere around 147-150gr. stubbicatt & W.E.G. : I have been trying to get a port buffer forever, any thoughts on where to get one? Also, what would be a fair price?

    Anyone live in Boerne, Tx?

Bourne is growing fast but if you just keep heading out IH10 west just outside of the Bourne city limits you will see a big change, most of the current growth is on the San Antonio side.

Whats Your Favorite .40 SW Handloads

Power Pistol loads I've loaded 8.2gr of Power Pistol with a 155gr Rem. JHP and 9.0gr of Power Pistol with a 135gr Nosler JHP, always using Win. primers, shooting both from a Sig P229. The 135gr JHP does about 1275 fps & 486 ft. lbs. from the Sig.

    642 Club Part Deux

Carry jeans/pants Just bought some Wrangler Hero carpenter jeans at WalMart and am impressed with the price $16 and number of pockets, 8 total. The front pockets are deep enough to carry your j-frame heater in a pocket holster although the pocket material is somewhat thin. There are 2 smaller...

    Scope and Mount for PTR-91?

MechAg, I just received a Hensoldt Z24 with mount from www.wideners.com for $290 and from my research that is a pretty good deal. They have a few left so if you are interested you may want to hurry. I've yet to take it to the range but it attached to the rifle nice and tight and the optics are...
