    Early P238 A plastic guide rod is very odd indeed. Mine is even an earlier production gun and my guide rod is metal. The new flat spring goes in easily and the gun shoot fine. Why would they have used a plastic guide rod? I've never seen that on any semi-auto.

    Which Belt Mountain base pin for a Uberti Cattleman?

    I want to replace the base pin on my Cattleman and I heard that Belt Mountain is the way to go, however, on their web site they don't specifically mention Uberti's. Will a base pin for a 1873 Colt work? I thought Id try here before calling them.

    That's the set up I have used for .38 and .45 however I used the RCBS Lock Out Die in station 4. Works great. At some point I may use the PTX so I can seat and crimp separately, but for now the setup works just fine.
