I don't care for wood on my guns at all. Synthetic all the way. I prefer stainless, but I'm ok with blued.

This rifle takes SR9/Security 9 mags by default but I know there is an optional mag well for a Ruger American Pistol. I just purchased a Ruget American compact and I'm thinking about picking up the PCC. Anyone have experience using RAP mags with the PCC? How'd it go? Any problems?

I'm asking about holsters that have screws you tighten to adjust the level of retention. I've never had one, they make me nervous. It seems to me that if you tighten such a holster enough to keep the gun secure, that would make it a tight enough fit that you would scratch/scuff up your gun...

Congratulations! It's an excellent gun. I also bought mine because the price was right, and because it made a good companion for my PPS, which also has the paddle mag release. I've been very happy with it.

If so, can you tell me if holsters for the XD-S will work with the PPS (original PPS not M2). The specs indicate that they are nearly identical in size (width, length, height), but that is on paper. I'd like to know from real world experience if they work with holster's made for the other.
