    Glock 23 S & W 40 cal.

I don't get it. I'm not trying to be an ass, but I don't. My G23 with any ammo is easily manageable. It kicks a little bit more than my 9mms, but nothing significant. Here's Hickok45 with a good video demonstration between a Glock 9mm, Glock 40, & Glock 10mm. (G26, G27 & G29). Glock...

Sig Sauer quality is way down

Best firearm decision I made recently was a Kahr CW9 for concealed carry. Accurate, well made, very light, extremely thin and reliable. Worst firearm decision ever made: Selling my 2005 (I think - maybe 2003 or 2004, but bought new) Sig P239, with West German made frame. I would never part...

Mall Ninjas, your gun has arrived.

That's homey-licious. It needs to be sold with two commemorative bandannas, one blue and one red, tied around the grip of each twin Glock.

Advice Needed - XDm 40 compact or Glock Gen 4 23?

Glock 23 all the way. I have owned both, and sold off the Springfield, as I personally experienced way too many FTE with it. YMMV. p.s. - Whoever said that the magazines on the Springfield are better because they're all metal, I take issue with that statement. In fact, I'd argue that few, if...

Karh CW9 vs Kel Tec P11 vs Kel Tec PF9 for CCW

Kahr CW9. Again, as has been said - hands down.

    Woot!! Shot my new PM9

Kahr concealed pistols, ala P-series/PM-series/CW-series are the best thing to happen to RKBA and the world of pistols since Glock came along. My CW9 has been flawless and is the only truly concealable weapon in a 9mm or + range that I've ever found that just plain works and is KISS approved

My take on the most beat up question in CCW

You need stopping power in a CCW. I keep telling everyone this, with all their comments on 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP and other such silliness.

    Kahr arms and the PM9.....huh!

Purely cosmetic. Few people know it, and I didn't until recently, but Kahrs have MORE steel in their rails (you just can't see it due to the design) than Glock receivers: http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=765313

My take on the most beat up question in CCW

I have decided to CCW this, because I'm tired of pondering what is or isn't adequate for self defense, and this relieves me of that burden: The worlds most powerful pistol is the Austrian Pfeifer-Zeliska .600 Nitro Express Magnum. It is chambered to fire the British developed .600 caliber rifle...

    Honest Opinions Wanted: Glock 23

What isn't to like? A great cartridge, with better penetration than 9mm or .45ACP, delivering nearly or as much energy and expansion as a .45ACP, in a platform that allows 13+1, and is quite tame in recoil, in a relatively light weight and very reliable firearm... ...that's worth a lot...

USA SIGs quality not as good as in the past?

A lot of companies have gone down this road - IMO - including Glock, now. No matter how one slices it, there is no doubt that there is more bitching and moaning about 4 Gen Glock (which...da da da da...are being produced in the U.S.) than any other generation Glock. Even if one considers...

Quantity of firearms vs Quality of training & proficiency

If I had to use one sentence to describe the modern firearm landscape in the U.S., the thread title would be it. By the way, I would include myself in this category, sadly. It is just an observation, and it does not apply to all, so do not take offense or become defensive, as I'm as likely...

USA SIGs quality not as good as in the past?

When I went to sell my circa-2004 Sig P239, with W. German made frame, I was swamped with immediate requests to buy it. Gun shop owners were even contacting me and offering full asking price. There is definitely something to this desire.

    Springfield EMP 9mm

That thread is 8 years old. The CW9 and PM9 hadn't even been designed, let alone produced yet. Do a search on EMP issues, and you'll come across many, just like with any product (it's an inevitable law of statistics). The CW9 is one of the least complained about 9mm semiautos I've ever come...

any reasonable mags for the cz75

NG VI - tons of FTFs, only using aftermarket Mecs. On same range sessions, going back to factory CZ mags, zero problems. This was 4 years ago, and I haven't used them since. Maybe they've upped their game since then.
