    Brass score!

I'm fairly well set now, but wouldn't turn down some extras either. I load both 30-06 and 35 Whelen, so do always have a use for it.

    Brass score!

A while back I went to the range to test out some 30-06 loads. I had them in a 50 rd. plastic box and was putting the empties back in the box. The guy next to me was shooting a Garand, and when he noticed I was a reloader he gave me all his brass since he didn't reload. He grinned and said he...

    Shooting my RCBS Turret Press

Another one-time dissatisfied RCBS customer here, so they aren't perfect. I bought one of their progressives about a year ago that had multiple issues (primer feed, auto-indexing, jams, etc). I took off early from work more than once because the tech support dept. has such short hours, still no...

    Reloading bench suggestions

Here's a pic of the bench I just built. In my case, I built the cabinets myself with to fit under an existing top, but you could easily buy some base cabinets at Home Depot, Lowe's etc. and do the same thing. I think it looks good enough I wouldn't be worried about having it in the house...

    New Reloading Bench

BP Hunter, On the left side of the bench sits a Dillon 550. kbbailey, Yep, hard to beat the coffee cans. One of the ladies at my office knows I like to keep them, so she always brings me the empties. I almost have too many now, but I just can't bring myself not to save them. Who knows...

    New Reloading Bench

Also forgot to mention that, especially since my reloading are is in the garage shared with woodworking equipment, the two presses, powder measure, scale and lubrisizer are all normally covered. Thanks again, Joe

    New Reloading Bench

Thanks for the kind words all. Maj Dad, The height is about 36", which works pretty well with the shop stool I have. I like it as it is also a comfortable height for me to work standing up at. I didn't include a photo of my casting area as it is fairly mobile. Depending on the weather...

    New Reloading Bench

Hello All, I thought I would share some pics of my new reloading bench setup. My reloading is done in the garage for space reasons - no space in the house. Also, having small children it gives me a little privacy when I need it. My house had a built-in countertop in the garage, supported...

    Problem w/ 35 Whelen loads

Thanks to all for pointing out that it was likely a headspace issue. My wilson headspace guage arrived today, so I first checked the rounds that did not fire. They were definately below the minimum. The difference wasn't much and I was having trouble measuring it with my not-so-great-quality...

Very Nice! Installed in on my work PC w/ WinXP and it works fine. I spent a little time looking over what's included and was very impressed.

    Problem w/ 35 Whelen loads

It is possible, but I doubt it. I've never seated a primer that didn't fire in probably 1000 to 2000 rounds of pistol ammo, and seating by hand I think I have a pretty good feel. Unfortunately, I didn't try a second time on the ones that didn't fire, but I will try them again next time at the...

Free Download - Extensive Gun/Reloading Reference

I tried the instructions in the readme file last night, and was still getting the error. Tried again today and still couldn't get it to work. I think I'll try it on my office PC running XP rather than mine at home using Vista. Looking forward to seeing how the program works!

    Problem w/ 35 Whelen loads

NCSmitty, Thanks for the info. That gives me enough direction that I can start working on the problem. Would something like a Wilson Headspace gauge help as well, or is it simpler to just adjust the sizing die to the point where the bolt closes with slight resistance? Thanks again, Joe
