i see. okay thanks so much. I'll go with the m11 then. although getting a used regular version would save me a lot of money, i do like the novelty of the special models. It would be also a reason I would hang onto this gun for a while - don't want to get into a habit of trading guns!

I sold my old gun and was thinking of picking up a Sig. I am thinking of getting the new M11-A1. None of my local guns stores have it, so i'll go the online route/wait it out. but going to the store I saw the MK25. they are roughly the same price and I read good reviews about the MK25...

update: went to the range today. only 1 FTE out of the box of 50 of remington. looks like new extractor improved it! someone did point out that the empty casings were ejecting straight up in the air - i didnt notice it - but better than failing. thanks everyone!

im sad to hear you are having similar problems now. i thought about selling my 36 too, but i just went ahead and replaced the extractor. i havent been to the range since, but i'll let you know if that fixed my FTEs. good luck.

the irony here is i bought a glock for its known reliability and ease of use/maintenance. hopefully the new extractor will fix things. if not, i guess i should have just paid the extra $200 and bought the sig p220 carry i was looking at.

Okay easiest thing is to just replace the extractor. i rather not send it in, have them not replicate it, have it sent back to me/wait all this time for nothing. I didnt find too much info online, but since im getting a new extractor, would you recommend me into looking into aftermarket like...

congrats on the new 36. i also bought one recently - about two weeks ago. I love the slim profile of the 36. i also was wary of the "bad press" the 36 had early on. unfortunately for me, i been getting a lot of FTEs. i came back from the range this morning and had 8 FTEs after 50 rounds...
