I have mine in front of me and trust me it has it. Go to berettausa.com and follow the links to the compact. It looks very much like the full size in a photo so just do an image search on the web and hunt around for the correct pic and view. I have all three sizes and have never had a failure...

Only the Compact PX4 Storm has the ambidextrous slide release. The full size and sub-compact versions do not. Also most Beretta pistols can be changed to de-cock only if you prefer. Good luck.

The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact has a left and right hand slide release. A really sweet gun to shoot as well.

Just FYI the 9mm PX4 does not have a plastic feed ramp. I hope you like your .45! I plan on picking one up someday. I'd like a 1911 too (a true classic).... but I prefer the double/single action of the Beretta for myself.

Just one more thought.... MAKster is correct in that the SC only comes as type "F". Only the full size PX4 has the constant action option. On that model the hammer is shaved down and can hardly be seen. Not sure of the term for that. Bobbed? I prefer the DA/SA type F but the constant action...

The safety can be reversed. Their website even has a pic of it on the left side under the slide release. Much fun to shoot and easy to clean.
