I have a friend who is interested in the new Remy 715 and was wondering what your opinions are on it. While not as "nice" as a 700, does it even remotely compare to the 700 in quality and accuracy? I confess I know nearly zero about bolt guns. He's looking at the 30-06 but I'm trying to lean him...
Yeah I'm finding out more and more today after posting this around.
A Carcano Type I built for the Jap navy in 38 and 39 because Arisaka couldent produce enough rifles. It was for guard duty and special forces ( Marines )
I have a Japanese Arisaka97 sniper rifle from WWII that has rust on the barrel and needs re-blueing.
The barrel and action are over 39 inches long and am looking for people who could properly blue a barrel this long
( I think it needs to soak in a tank while bluing? ).
Am also looking for a...
No idea who makes it, it came with one of the Woos. It doesnt function right, I only use it for display purposes since it looks a bit nicer than the Parked ones I have ( plus since it's always empty, it's always "safe" to have in the gun )

now that I have the ACE folding stock on one of them, I can bring
my Daewoo out of the dark lol
Butthole stock gone forever I hope :-)

After some Googling last night "Ed's Red" seems to be the ticket for ridding carbon. I have assembled the componants and will try and mix some up tonight.
ok, some VERY carefull scraping inside the bore ( between the lands down in the grooves ) of my back-up Daewoo with some jewelers files has pretty much confirmed that there is a VERY hard layer of something, most likely carbon, lining the bore. I was able to gouge a pair of shallow troughs with...
