Thanks
Thanks for the help.
It is strange to me that there would be such a difference from the manufacturer to a Lyman book, but I'm grateful to know that going lighter than 7.0g has been tested.
Thanks again,
karl
Hey guys, I have loaded lots of 9mm with light and heavy bullets using Bullseye. I really like this powder, but I recently loaded some very light (135g) Berry's Plated bullets for .40 glock, and I can only find one data set for that load. Alliant doesn't list data for that light of bullet...
Don't mean to sound really dumb, but I think I figured out that the sight elevation is not min for minimum, but min for minutes of angle.
Still not sure what it all means though.
Here is the link to the software in case you may not have it but are curious. It has reloading info galore in it as well as an inventory section, Gun Manuals, and much more.

Hi all,
I found an awesome tool one of you pointed me to called the Reloaders Reference. It is a software program no doubt many of you are familiar with that is freeware.
I have a general (dumb) question if any of you know.
In the trajectory calculator (very cool), there are a couple of...
Where my trust lies
My trust is in God, not men. The Bible tells us in Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Knowing the nature of man, and this culture in which most things that are evil are called good, and those things that are good...
Okay, I am new to reloading, but c'mon this is America where we are supposed to be free and where a capitalistic economy and demand and supply are supposed to work, and maybe they are.
That to say, I don't think there is a retailer in the country that has SMALL PISTOL PRIMERS in stock. No...
Depends depends depends
I also shoot mostly 9mm thru my M&P. I also was wondering if reloading was worth it. I looked into a Dillon 550B. By the time you get everything you need if you buy new, you'll be looking at $600.00+ before you buy any primers, powder or bullets. I calculated that...
Thanks guys
That is helpful.
I have a couple of old Lyman and Speer and Sierra manuals. None listed the 147g bullets which are pretty common nowdays.
I'll check with the bullet manufactures and see.
I didn't think of that.
Thanks.
still confused
Walkalong,
The only adjustment on the seating die appears to be the depth of the seat of the bullet in the case. I have the die touching the shell holder at the apex of the piston, and it is not changing the bell on the lip of the shell that was created by the 2nd die... I...
Thanks guys
I did find a seller on e-bay who sells Herter shell holders who said he'd mail me a chart... I sent him a self stamped envelope so we'll see.
If I get a complete chart, maybe I'll post it here, as it seems many of you are using old Herter presses like me.
I am new to reloading and purchased some old presses with old loading manuals.
I have about 6 different books but still can't find loads for newer bullets.
Is there one manual out there that is pretty comprehesive that covers most of the current bullet loadings? I am specifically...
which Lee crimping die
RFwobbly,
You mentioned using a Lee TCD. I looked on their site and they have a TCD and also a carbide factory crimp die. Which one do you use and why?
I don't really understand the difference.
I am loading 9mm luger rounds, and using RCBS 3 set dies. I...
Newbie discoveries
1) On the old Herter's presses, the primer arms are hard to find, but if you have one and need the other (they made one for each size of primer) you can find other primer pins out there to fit a single arm. I don't know what brand the pin I found is, but it is a small...
