I had one 5 years ago or so, the XD 45 Compact. I loved the design of the grip height being magazine dependent. I'd definitely like to get another some day.

Gas stations are one of those places I have to visit that I never like. I wouldn't hesitate to hose someone down with some unleaded if anything happened while I was actually pumping gas.

As with all my guns, I used a Comp-Tac CTAC. I did swap to smooth grips though as the checkered walnut grips rubbed my love handle raw.

I do both. I usually CC because I'm a 28-year-old slob that doesn't really like to tuck in his shirt. Both have their place.

The "slim frame" the OP mentions is probably just referring to the fact that the G17 is on Glock's "small" frame, as opposed to the .45 ACP stuff, etc.

Might shop AKs, might just buy some extra mags and ammo for what I've got already.

I use a toothbrush and a bore brush with Simple Green to clean most everything. I rinse it and wipe/blow dry then follow up with a slightly oily cloth or just fingers with CLP on them. I then use precision oiler and put Militec 1 in the regular places like rails, trigger connector, etc...

Just sometimes. Doesn't depend on the gun or the caliber. Just sometimes.

I like both. And .22LR. And .25 ACP.

Show me an instance of this ever happening to a non-LEO. Even if you find one, you are statistically more likely to be struck by lightning.
