To Cerakote or not to Cerakote

I like the comment "It's just a Glock" It is hard to make a Glock look different. It still looks like a Glock. Paint may be a remedy. I'd pursue the Krylon suggestion. I like that idea enough, that I might try it (AFTER SOME RESEARCH)

    Stolen Firearms - Columbia Gorge

It would be a good idea to present your list to the Washington Arms Collector. They sponsor Gun Shows here on the West side.

    1897 Winchester. Missing pin. Help.

I thought I would add this link. In addition to the 1897, there are parts for several obscure guns. http://www.gun-parts.com/winchestershotgun/ Home Page http://www.gun-parts.com

Glued To The Bench--a growing trend?

I have a 100yd home range with a bench. It is great (as noted previously) for load development. It is also great for kids that find it a little hard to hold a 22 lr rifle. Some times it's nice to just sit :) It also helps position new shooters and formalize the process of being at the line...

New Wilton Vise On The Way!

Another interest I love my Wilton, I had to pony up for new Jaws, there is a repair on the retainer plate, but it keeps going. Wilton's are one of those things that make tools fun. There is quite a bit of information on the internet for dating them (like looking at the date stamp :neener:)...

Mods for G17 for the accuracy obsessed

I had a glock 17 and agreed that the accuracy should be improved. I made one little change or swap-out. After assuring that the glock 17 was unloaded, I replaced it with a 1911 .45 ACP. My targets look much better now and I didn't have to make any modifications to the Glock.

    Steel bar stock

rcmodel says "Still think you might do better if you can find a drilling company that would buy it to use, it if it usable" plus one. Once it's scrapped it's gone to you. If your'e looking to get money, get the best you can.

    Zero-ing the Mini 14 Tactical

Sir Gilligan, Do you have a good idea of your working zone. My coyotes and raccons show up in that 30-75 yd range when approaching my birds. I also want an iron site zero hold for these pests. Although I know my yard and approximate ranges, it's easier to protect the zone.

    Zero-ing the Mini 14 Tactical

I like your subtle requirement of 'close hold' at 0 to 200 yards. I used "Remington Shoot" (1) for a SP55gr and also like the curve. SheepDog's 50yd zero gives you a good flat 36yd to 150yd working zone. 1...

    New Cooper arrived...

Enjoy the break in. Try to find a comfortable position and let it ride. Keep your wits on the site picture, your motion and a flinchless release and you will probably enjoy the session. I do keep a coat near to fold and place in the stock socket of my shoulder if the session begins to wear...

    S&W model 19 crane play

Ensure that the ejector rod is tight also. I have play when the crane is open, very minimal. Cylinder closes tight with small cylinder gap. However, shooting does seem to loosen the ejector rod and increase this play.
