SIG P-210: What its cracked up to be?

I think they're worth it but I'm a major Sig fan. I've got 5 P-210's and love all of them. They're expensive but you can sometimes find deals. I've got 2 Danish m/49's and one was won off auctionarms.com for about $800 delivered. Amazingly, I was the only bidder. The action is smooth as...

    The Professional

"Leon" is one of my favorite movies and while "The Professional" is good on it's own, I like the extended version better. Good action, not necessarily realistic but there aren't many films with realistic gun sequences anyways. The rifle that Leon used to train Mathilda was an AR-15 with a...

    its hopeless, she'll never understand.....

Bobarino, yes, I think you/she need to deal with her past issues. If not, they will rear their ugly head someday and probably at the most inopportune time. Leaving the self-defense stuff out of it, it will enter into your relationship more with other issues. Like I said, first it will be "why...

    SIG mauser? Any thoughts??

I believe it was "Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement" magazine wherein the author of an article on the Sig/Mauser said it was a shoot little carry a lot gun. Regardless, poor design.

Any Experience With The Sig GSR 1911

Andrew17, I just picked up that G&A magazine the other day. Decent review, wished it had bigger pics besides the one on the cover.

    Sig 220 in 9mm

Yes, the original chambering for the P220 is 9mm desgned and produced to replace the costly m/49/P210. Older P220's had spur hammers, flat backstrap, euro mag release, no hammer return spring, smaller sights, 2 different slide contours, sometimes polished blue slide finish, various importers...

    Favorite .22 Pistol?

Sig P210-7. OTherwise, I really like my Browning Buckmark. Great gun for the money, reliable and accurate, super light trigger. Kind of a pain to clean though.

    Best Sig 226 finish?

Unless they're doing it different, the two-tone finish is nickel, not in-the-white stainless steel. Older models of P226 have an alloy frame, are 9mm only and have a sheet metal stamped slide that's either blued, K-Koted, or nickeled. Newer models have either a stainless steel frame...

    What's wrong with Sigforum

Okay, at least I'm not the only one and there's nothing wrong with my computer. Hopefully, it will be back up soon.

Any Experience With The Sig GSR 1911

Some shops have done pre-orders on these. I'm looking forward to it coming out. I'll probably hold out to see that the new line isn't a lemon, much like with new model cars. I've always wanted to see the 1911 design with Sigarms quality and consistency; something not as common with current...

    SIG mauser? Any thoughts??

Disappointed gun. I've never fired one but handled one of the early ones. Okay ergonomics but not a very well-conceived gun. The safety, which was supposed to be optional, is in one of the dumbest places you could have it; on the back of the gun above the beavertail area. You switched you...

    its hopeless, she'll never understand.....

Hmm, tough situation. Without you saying so, I could tell by what you said in your initial posts that your GF has a troubled past with her family; dysfunctional that's for sure. I agree with Maddock's assessment of how people deal with such things growing up. They either learn to defy it and...

    Underworld

I liked the film a lot. I liked the dark, gothic look and the music. The main handguns I saw used were a Desert Eagle, H&K USP Match, P99's, and Berettas. The Berettas didn't look like 93R's but acted like them. They looked like the Beretta Combat with extended barrel and barrel weight; that...

Had a new S&W 500 in my hands...

I have no interest in the S&W .500, my .454 Casull is good enough for me, but I got to shoot a couple of rounds of .500 S&W. Huge gun. I didn't find it punishing at all due to the fact that it's so large and heavy, felt like a .44.

"Long Kiss Goodnight" what rifle is she using?

The gun Geena Davis uses is I believe an HS Precision takedown tactical. It was probably specially made for the movie as it has a very short barrel. You can see them at www.hsprecision.com Pretty cool, front end screws on, supposed to be pretty good about maintaining zero.
