My grandfather-in-law has had this pistol in his family for a long time and it's missing the cylinder (funny story). He'd like to get a new cylinder for it and be able to fire it, but we're having trouble tracking them down.
Ideas...?
Also, we're wondering where we might be able to find/see...
So you open carry in Washington? Where in the state are you able to do this without getting stopped or arrested? I live on the Eastside and I'm pretty sure there's nowhere I could get away with doing this...
I agree completely. I feel that when I'm making gun purchases I do my homework and find out what the going rates on whatever gun I'm interested in are and then usually head to the gunshop to find out what they're asking. After that I head to the range and run some rounds through it, if I don't...
I know most people will probably HATE me for saying this:
Glock 29 with Pearce grip extension... also +1 on the baby Glocks as well =)
I find the 1911s, BHPs, Lugers to be very ugly guns. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder...?
So I started out kinda the reverse of most people... my first handgun was a 1911, followed by a snub nose revolver. Then I shot a Sig... well needless to say that shortly after that initial meeting with a Sig I owned one (P225) and I sold the 1911 because I no longer liked it or enjoyed shooting...
If that's the case than I think the .40 Super is not what I'm looking for. The 135gr was the only loading I could find any information on and so I compared it directly to the 135gr Double Tap loading. I would be using this round to shoot the 230 Wide Flat Nose Gas Checked Hard Cast bullets from...
I want:
Deep penetration
Glock platform... (most likely a G30 because I like it)
Glock 30 mags
Not sure on:
Springs needed
Barrel manufacturer
If I'm doing my math correctly it will cost me about $0.46 a round if I reload vs. about $0.82 if I buy 10mm rounds.
I'm not sure how much...
I recently heard about this round and I'm wondering if it's really that much more powerful than the 10mm. I can reload for it (found a place to buy shells, etc.) so I'm not worried about being able to purchase it from a store.
I'd just like to know what peoples' experiences have been with this...
I've had it happen on 2 Kahr polymer guns - the P40 and the PM9 have each failed me. With the P40 I was at the range and I had this happen twice out of about 35 rounds. I've never owned a Kahr and they were friend's guns, but after these experiences you can't bet I won't ever buy one... at least...
I would like to know where you got that information... as far as I know, most of the world - besides United States - carries 9mm NATO. So to arrive at your statement means one of 2 things:
The United States has killed more people than the rest of the world combined.
OR
Your statement was a...
Fair & Balanced Review
I would suggest watching this review. I think this guy does awesome work and I value each and every one of his reviews! They're worth the time, especially when you're investing so much money into this. You won't be sorry you sat through the 40 minutes of talking. Also, he...
Glock did this I think... rather than purchase a completely new upper you can actually just do a barrel/mag swap and be good to go! I can switch my G29 from 10mm to .40S&W, .357 Sig, or if I'm feeling gnarly 9x25 Dillon (and if I really wanted to I could switch out the extractor, throw in a .45...
You can actually have guns down there in Oz? I thought the right to own handguns was not something you guys were blessed with...? When I was in NZ I was told even getting a permit to own a hunting rifle was a BIG pain in the @$$ and and that handguns were a MAJOR nono. Please enlighten me...
