That's a nice revolver and an excellent price! I have a 28 & 27 that I love to shoot. I put on a pair Pachmayer grips when I take them to the range. I'm afraid I'll drop it and break the wooden grips. I have also found that they don't like a steady diet of lead bullets or even SJHP. In my...
I have used Starline brass in 357 Sig, 357 Magnum, 10MM, and 41 Magnum since 1996. I have had excellent life on those items. My main source of attrition has been through losses at ranges that make it hard to retrieve your brass. I just purchased 200 41 Magnum cases at Midway for .206 cents each...
I don't know anything about Colt's, but this seems to explain it fairly well:
"Cannot be used in Colt Delta Elite or any other firearms with rampless barrel due to complete lack of case support."
The barrels I use for handloaded 10MM in my Glock are all fully supported.
I have a G20 with a 6" barrel, a 40 cal barrel, a 357 SiG barrel. It provides the ability to use a varity of rounds if one or the other is not available. The 357 Sig really performs well on this larger platform.
I have fired thousands of rounds in all three calibers and had no feeding...
Additional Resource
In addition to reloading manuals I recommend Understand Firearm Ballistics by Robert A. Rinker - Mulberry House Publishing, ISBN: 0-9645598-4-6. Sub titled: Basic to Advanced Ballistics Simplified, Illustrated,& Explained.
An added advantage of phosphoric acid solution is that it will decontaminate the brass of radioactivity.:)
On a more serious note, if someone has a hard water problem and doesn't want to purchase distilled water they may use trisodium citrate.
Does anyone have experience with this product to fine tune the powder bar adjustment? I'm loading 44 mag, 10 MM, & 357 Sig
My instincts tell me that volumetric metering is tough to precisely fine tune, but I've been wrong before.
I would appreciate any experience you have with this type...
Carry 357
You have received a lot of excellent information. You should be able to come up with a suitable weapon that meets your needs.
When I was working in South America, I had a 640 that had been magna ported and had a XS bigdot tritium up front. I carried it in a Galco MOB belt...
I bought a S&W J frame in 22 MAG for my wife. She has small hands and not much strength. She could not pull the trigger in DA and hold the gun steady.
I tried a reduced weight trigger spring and hammer rebound spring. The trigger pull improved but the reduced trigger spring would not provide...
My omission.
It doesn't have the typical spur - wide. It looks like the hammers on current models.
My guess is that it has been repalced along with the trigger. I have never paid much attention to them so I wasn't certain. I thought I would check some folks who know this model.
I have had a 27-2 for years and put everything but the kitchen sink through it. The trigger pull is to die for. It is my opinion that a "collectable" model like this not only shoots well but will be a better investment.
Don
I am looking at a Super Black Hawk SN 80-23XXX.
It does not have a spurred hammer or grooved trigger. Additionally, the gun shows very little wear, thin line around cylinder. Cylinder is really clean, doesn't look like it has been shot much. Price is good - mid 400.00's. The atypical hammer...
" TELL THAT TO A "GROUP" PROFESSIONAL SEASONED WELDERS WITH A THERMAL LANCE and other "SPECIAL EQUIP" ... a TL30x6 is not torch resistant or torch proof."
You are correct. The TL30X6 spec is what it is. However you did not mentioned torch resistance as a primary criteria. If torch...
