    USP fullsize ok for concealing?

I carry a Beretta 96 (that's about the same size, right?) Yeah, it's big, but it disappears on my under a shirt. My girlfriend can't see it under a tucked in shirt when she knows where to look. IMHO, it's all about finding the right spot on your body to put the pistol.

A Marine Responds to John Kerry

Not to be a nitpick, but it's Commander-IN-Chief, not Commander AND Chief.

Where to rent guns in Nashville?

I'd second the recommendation of Guns and Leather. Nice shop, nice people (I went in knowing very little and was helped out a lot). Doesn't cost too much, and they've a decent selection of guns to rent.

    Deactivating the BIG Guns?

My guess is to prevent vandalism. I knew some folks in college who liked to pour paint down the barrel of a particular cannon. People would also throw trash down there, etc.

    Virginia- State Parks

Not true. You may not carry CONCEALED in an establishment with a license for on-premesis alcohol consumption, however you may carry OPENLY if it is otherwise legal for you to do so (over 18, not a felon, etc.) Also, I believe you may only carry concealed in a state park, not openly, but I'm...

I think I've found me next gun.

Anybody else unable to read the description? The lister must have a defective keyboard, because it triples the parentheses, stars, and exclamation points, which have been interspersed randomly, puts quotation marks around every third word for no conceivable purpose, and apparently gets stuck...

    College Sucks For Pro Gun

One thing you need to realize is that they're not all bad (not even all of the antis). There's people out there who believe in firearms ownership, you may not see 'em always, but they're there. I had some great conversations with professors, other students, and members of the campus police...

    DeSantis "Tuck This" IWB holster

I had trouble getting used to this, but after using it for a couple weeks, and finding a spot on my waist that worked, I've had no trouble. At first I was wearing it in the middle of my back. It was unsupported, sagged, and moved around. Oh, and you're right, the clip rotated. After a...

What information is missing? / What should I write next?

A compliment and a suggestion First, thank you for the work you've done. I'm relatively new to shooting and I've found several of your articles very useful for learning the basics. I had searched and found information piecemeal before, but having a consistent source (with pictures!) has been...

    how do you carry concealed?

It'll take you a bit to find the spot on your body that conceals well. For me, its my right hip, IWB, butt-forward cant. I just let one of my normal shirts drape over that and I'm all set. Nobody sees a thing. And that's with a full-size double-stack .40. But like I said, you have to...

    Why REHOLSTER a CCW?

ShackleMeNot, ease up a bit. Cosmo started/continued this thread because he finds very stiff holsters to be uncomfortable. Knowing the recommendation that one use a stiff holster to aid the one-handed re-holster, he took the next logical step by contemplating the need for the one-handed...

is Packing.org the most hacked site on the internet?

My opinion (YMMV): PDO is down quite frequently. It usually appears to be a load issue. The state-by-state information is no longer kept up to date. I would avoid relying on that information as it could get you arrested. Remember: ignorantia juris nihil excusat (or however that phrase...

One of our own opens a gun store (Nashville) - now with pics

Sorry to nitpick, but he's missing a digit on the ZIP code on the bottom of the main page of the website. I'm assuming there should be a 3 preceeding what's there. I say that only because that will allow people to cut and paste it into Google Local or whatever to get a map and directions...
