I'm wondering if anyone has tried a 1-piece scope mount for AR's on the DPMS Hi-rise upper? Too high for good cheek weld or just right?? I was looking at an "AR Stoner Mount" that claims the rings are just over 0.8" tall. I am getting a 6.8 AR on trade that has the hi-rise upper. Thanks...

The carbine series is great. I'm really looking forward to this new handgun series. I wish I had the $$ to take the classes in person!

I just installed a set a few weeks ago. They lock-up nice and tight!!!

2 XD's here (XD9 and XD45). I also have other brands. I usually carry the XD9 though. If the XD fits your hand and you shoot it well, go for it. If not, try some others. There are many wonderful handguns to choose from.

I'd suggest a Spike's dedicated .22 You can add a .223/5.56 (or other caliber) upper on the Spike's setup and have a multi-caliber weapon platform. Mine:

As a FORMER Taurus owner....run, run away!! Do yourself a favor and skip the Taurus. CZ's a nice, used Glock is a good choice (love my G19), Love the XD9 too.

I voted for "Always shot guns..." However, the 9/11 disaster really shook my tree.

This thread lives.... Has anyone shot this ammo in a Spikes dedicated .22 upper?? How was the function, accuracy, etc. I know this is in the handgun section...but I had to ask....

I've owned ONE Taurus (PT140) and will never, ever buy Taurus again!! The gun was a POS and the Customer Disservice was terrible!!! They do have some neat looking models, but after my experience with the need for a warranty repair....no more!!

I just mounted my EoTech 3x Magnifier with my Eotech 512 (and YHM BUIS). Haven't played with it at the range yet, but the 3x is nice and clear. It's nice to flip it to the side when you just want the "normal" hologram for CQB.

Federal Bulk pack seems to work best in mine too. Golden Bullet is hit or miss.
