WOW!! I had no Idea it was so difficult to get a handgun in Washington DC. It is like it is some foreign country!! No way I would want to live there. I hope that someday they can move in the direction of the rest of the country, and not vice versa.

The handgun hotline has 48 hours to get back to the dealer. Things have been a little slower lately with the new ccw, but still should not be longer than 48 hours. Have you not contacted the dealer? My guess is the background check is done, the dealer just never got back to you.
