Taurus semi-autos, are they as bad as I've heard?

Their pocket pistol (The TCP) has a good reputation for being reliable and accurate from everything I've read. It's the larger pistols that have had issues. My PT145 Mil Pro came with defective magazines and won't chamber hollow points, however it is flawless with FMJs. I need to send the mags...

    Taurus Millenium Pro 145

I got mine for $339 brand new from a dealer here in Washington State. At the WAC Gun Show... I love the feel and look of it. It feeds FMJs all day long. Won't chamber HP without a firm "wack" on the bottom of the magazine. There is a lot of info about the defects of this particular pistol and...

    Can I hunt Elk with a .270?

5000 years ago? Hell, I hunted them with arrows last year! :)

Pocket sized 380s. Pics & info.

This thread is meant for current or prospective owners of pocket sized 380 pistols. Kel-tec P3AT, Diamondback DB380, Ruger LCP, Taurus TCP, etc. Even Colt Mustangs, Sig P238 or similar gun owners can/should chime in. These very small, light, easily concealable 380s are becoming VERY popular...

My First Firearm -- My Wish List

I'd also recommend a decent .22 revolver or semi. It will help you learn trigger control and aim and won't break the bank doing so...

    Good deal on Ruger Vaquero?

That's what I paid for mine a year or so ago and I've been VERY happy with it. It's fun to shoot, accurate, well built, and I feel it will serve many years as a great sidearm for hunting season.

    Total Titanium By Taurus

I bought this one brand new in 2001. Flawless performance, very light, and quite accurate. Wouldn't sell it for the world. I paid $330 out the door for it, I've only seen two for sale like it since. One about 2 years ago at a shop for $450, one at a gunshow for $550. Both of those were the...

    lightest smallest thinnest .38 revolver

My old Taurus M85 Titanium (not the UL) was said to be 11oz when I bought it. Don't have a scale to check, and info on that gun is pretty scarce online...

Best looking grips for my GP160?

I strongly prefer the Ruger rubber with the inserts. They look far better than the others IMO.

    The one enduring 38 snubby

This is my Snub. I bought this when I was 21 (almost 9 years ago) to be my primary carry. It now sits safely in my bedside table, and has been 100% reliable.

Choosing a cheap gun...not by choice...

My Kel-Tecs have been flawless. I've got a P-11 and a Sub-2000, both fantastic and inexpensive guns.

No luck when it comes to semi autos...

It's weird how things work out sometimes. I have a Taurus PT145 that's flawless, a Kel-Tec P-11 that's flawless, and a Colt 1911 that I had quite a few issues with. Sometimes it's just bad luck I guess...

    Kel-tec PF-9...what a sweet little CCW!

I've never shot a PF-9, but can't see how it could be any better than my P11, which is a fantastic gun so far. It's only a TENTH of an inch thicker than the PF-9, but has a 10 rnd magazine...
