I'd also recommend a decent .22 revolver or semi. It will help you learn trigger control and aim and won't break the bank doing so...

That's what I paid for mine a year or so ago and I've been VERY happy with it. It's fun to shoot, accurate, well built, and I feel it will serve many years as a great sidearm for hunting season.

My old Taurus M85 Titanium (not the UL) was said to be 11oz when I bought it. Don't have a scale to check, and info on that gun is pretty scarce online...

I strongly prefer the Ruger rubber with the inserts. They look far better than the others IMO.

This is my Snub. I bought this when I was 21 (almost 9 years ago) to be my primary carry. It now sits safely in my bedside table, and has been 100% reliable.

My Kel-Tecs have been flawless. I've got a P-11 and a Sub-2000, both fantastic and inexpensive guns.

It's weird how things work out sometimes. I have a Taurus PT145 that's flawless, a Kel-Tec P-11 that's flawless, and a Colt 1911 that I had quite a few issues with. Sometimes it's just bad luck I guess...

I've never shot a PF-9, but can't see how it could be any better than my P11, which is a fantastic gun so far. It's only a TENTH of an inch thicker than the PF-9, but has a 10 rnd magazine...
