    Next cartridge to become obsolete?

Here's one that is going and gone, the .280 Ross. Has anyone else here even heard of it? It pretty much shot 7mm Remington Magnum velocity about fourty years before the magnum in the old Ross straight pull rifles but with a bullet in between .308 and .284.

    Beginner Deer Rifle

If you like the pump action, what about the Remingtons? They're about 500 bucks Canadian so they've got to be cheaper in the States. Just as accurate as you're average bolt gun and a heck of a lot more handy. Easy to scope as well and they have iron sights. As for the B.S. about coyote attacks...

    home defense questions

Me, I like a good side by side 12 gauge shotgun. The craze with cowboy action shooting was a blessing for good home defence shotguns. BTW 00 buck is a great equalizer.

CZ52 Will this Caliber become Obsolete/Un-obtainable?

Maybe the main reason that calibers die off is because people wait to see if it becomes popular? I say if you like it, buy it and stock up on ammo. My Mossin's in 7.62x54R will always have food at this point.

CZ52 Will this Caliber become Obsolete/Un-obtainable?

Man, people have to stop worrying about the future, if you're talking about the 7.62x25mm then just buy a whole crate of cheap surplus ammo and you're kids will still be shooting that gun when they're discussing the next ray gun. Seriously though, buy the gun and have fun.

They are still selling several rifles in these chamberings both lever and bolt (I didn't check the semi auto's...

Ending endangered species protection could give hunters a shot at predators

Michael; First of all, if my post appears as a personal attack it was not ment as such! I have no intention of starting an argument with someone that I can't share a tequila with in person, the internet is much too impersonal, my statement of "humans have killed them all" would have been much...

Ending endangered species protection could give hunters a shot at predators

MDHunter, Thankyou for the welcome to this forum, I did not expect it. First off let me assure you that there are plenty of elk in Canada, the government insists on draw hunting for most area's, and furthermore the elk herds being eaten in the area's of the Western U.S.A. where the Canuck...

Ending endangered species protection could give hunters a shot at predators

As my first post I'm going to anger some people, but I so do not care. Predators can be hunted legaly without a permit here in Canada if they are on private land and you have permission or if you are collecting the wolf bounty up in Northern Alberta. If you are afraid for your life you may also...
