I must say that I wouldnt carry a hipoint for defense purposes but they seem to be reliable and if you run out of bullets it serves as a nice club. Check out YouTube hipoint tourture teasts. Lifetime warranty too!
Ruger MKII Gov. Target Model. The only thing I have changed is the grips. Houge thumbrest grips make this gun. Only complaint is that takedown is a pain in the d**k. Check out a MKII not a fan of the MKIII. My girlfriend keeps trying to reposess it.
IMHO The 10mm is great, ammo isn't hard to come by. Buy your ammo online or in bulk at a show(gas,ga arms) man up and quit being a daffodil full power loads have a little recoil but remember that the round you just sent down range knocked the flying dog f*** out of something. Cheap bulk loads...
I got a pm from someone about using mag wheel polish. Sounds like it would work. The gun has done this since the day I got it. It's had maybe 50 rds thru it. I have tried hornady varmint express, pmc FMJ,Remington FMJ,I even tried black hills match. I wil try the polish on a brush with a drill...
I know it's not the extractor. I'm thinking that the chamber has a burr or is too small. The only thing I can shoot is PCA. I have tried a dozen or so different cartages and they all do the same. The only way to get the spent cartridge our is with a cleaning rod. Any ideas? I have had the gun...
Look at the torture test on YouTube. Not sure what the link is but it took having a bolt drove into the muzzle and then fired to cause a major malfunction. These guys were shooting some +++p handloads that would have made any 9mm cry and it kept on with no issues.
They aren't for everyone but I can speak for their customer service/warranty and must admit both are wonderful. I have a couple friends that bought them and they are decent firearms. It doesn't matter if you are the third owner of the gun if it flys apart highpoint will take the pieces and send...
Thanks for the information. I don't have much experience shooting a pistol at night, just the occasional armadillo. I think I'll try those straight eights. They are a little cheaper also. I carry a 27 all day everyday but I wanted something a little more for the truck and to carry in the woods...
I was referring to being temporarily night blind due to the muzzle flash. I looked at the heinie straight 8's, they look similar to a factory sight. What is the advantage? I say abuse, I'm not going to use it as a hammer, I just don't want to have a oops and drop it and remove the rear sight.
I am looking for adjustable night sights for my new G20sf. I know that after the muzzle flash those night sights will be useless but I sure do love the ones from the factory on my G27 and have a TLR-1 so I won't be completely blind after the fireworks show. I have never had adjustable sights on...
Buy plenty of ammo, not just FMJ either. Invest in a couple hundred rounds of SD rounds. Be careful, I don't want to sound like your mom but as this is your first, remember which end goes toward the enemy. As for holsters I like Bianchi Leather holsters for my metal guns but that's me.
