I use digital - batteries don't bother me. As long as there is no flex in the jaws and you can get repeatable measurements. I bought a cheap (inexpensive) one from Frankford Arsenal and it works just fine. Mac

I use one USED dryer sheets cut in half per load. It keeps any dust down to a minimum. I tumble in my computer room and don't have a problem at all with dust on anything. Mac
