    Why a muzzleloader

    Load a remy with a 220 grain bullet backed by 70 gr BP(max load, not a standard occurrence)- I have done it with one of my walkers, touched a 55 gal drum at 200 yds 4 of 6, barrel pierced as well. Impressive for ANY pistols, IMO. Cap n ball, flintocks, matchlocks, wheel locks, caplocks =FUN!

    and there is also the satisfaction that goes with the self sufficiency aspect it offers-making your own firearm fro a kit or parts, making your own powder, making your own charcoal, the reasons are myriad and numerous-all of them are fun!

    inexpensive flinter

    Don't know about the traditions flintlocks. I bought a Cabelas kit rifle many years back to get into flintlocks. It is made by investarms in Italy and has beena dependable piece. No issues ever with the lock.

    don't overlook a flintlock. I have a hawken style .58 cal with a flintlock. I like percussion, but if you are going traditional, the flintlock really adds an element of tradition that IMO adds a lot of fun to the mix.
