Mall-ninja gimmicks (like light rails ) I won't own a gun with them.

I use a Model 28X from Horseshoe Leather. I don't know the angle, but it has a very comfortable rake.

I carried the M9 in Iraq with no problems. As others who have been there have stated, it would get dirty even while holstered, but I cleaned it meticulously and wiped it down (until dry) with Rem-Oil afterwards. That seemed to work very well and I never had concerns about reliability.

I will stand by my statement. There are other considerations in addition to tube length. Look at feed lip and follower design. The vaunted Wilson 47D is a good example.

IMO, there aren't any good 8-round 1911 magazines. At least for defensive use.
