List of WWII ammunition factories in Texas?

Is there any way to find this info? Here is the background story... My great-grandfather worked stateside, making artillery shells during WWII. He enlisted in 1942, I have a digital copy of his draft card (he was also in WWI). I know he worked in Dallas, but don't know the plant name or where...

    "I regret to inform you..."

I went to church today, and actively prayed for the first time in 9 years...for Elijah. Someone I never even knew or met, I pray he is in a better place.

    "I regret to inform you..."

Many people dont realize how the things we do every day, going to work in a career that we chose, going to school, even a trip to the range with a friend or family member...all these are the result of what soldiers have done for us, defending the United States and its freedoms. I hear people...

    Life of “plastic” guns?

Plastics in general last a LONG time. About the guy with the disintegrating crate, yeah it broke apart, but the plastic was still there right? It still existed. I think that in 100+ years, the Glocks, and other polymer guns will still be around, may or may not work though.

What Guns in Production Today Will Still Be in Production 100 Years From Now?

AK-47 or some variant AR-15 M1911 (its just too good to die) Glock will probably still be around M2 .50 cal, shes brought us through WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and both Iraq wars

    Santa's Holiday Setup

So, what guns would Santa carry with him now, and what has he used in the past? Here is my take. He started out in the late 1800's with a Colt SAA by his side, and an old double barrel coach gun in the sleigh. By the 1920s, he was packing a Colt M1911 .45, and the new Tommygun, able to fight...

I notice now most of us older guys (50+)

Im 21, and love revolvers. Never been much into modern semi's, I own a cheap Hi-Point 9mm just to have a cheap, shootable gun. I wouldnt carry it. Even though Im still a kid compared to some people on here, Ive been around 17-18 yr olds who did not know who John Wayne was. No I didnt grow up...

    Opinion of Hi Point firearms

I own a Hi-Point C9 9mm. Great first pistol, it has taught me many things (being new to semi-auto pistols) and I loved shooting it. Its not the prettiest looking gun, but if I want looks, I would go more for a nice revolver like my Smith and Wesson. I dont yet carry concealed, so thats really...

What would you buy with 1k$ ?

If I had an extra $1k, Id spend it on non-gun related stuff (would pay my bills for a month), but if I had to buy gun stuff, Id pick up a nice M1 Garand and ammo.

You know you are a GUN NUT if...

If "going out" with your gf/wife, means spending a day at the range.

    Ammo can round count

Ammo cans are also great for storing misc. stuff around the house, or tools, or whatever you want. Theyre extremely tough, will resist fire, water, being beaten around, Id definately pick up a few.
