    What was the first semi auto handgun you ever shot, and what was the first one you purchased?

    The first auto loader I shot was my dad's Walther PPK/S in 380 ACP. The first auto loader I purchased was a Beretta 92FS, that was in 1993 and I still have it!

    Why pistol cartridges in a rifle?

    Commonality is my reason. AR that accepts glock mags, allowing range trips without loading the truck down. The truck gets loaded down regardless, but the logic is sound!

    Palmetto State Armory good customer service (so far)

    Glad to hear they have a reputable CS group. I have purchased most everything from individual parts to complete uppers/lowers. I have yet to have a reason to contact them and would be thrilled to keep it that way.

    AR-15 Magazines in Bulk?

    You can check palmetto state Armory. They have house branded D&H 30 Rd mags for 6 or 7 dollars each. I ordered a dozen several weeks ago, they work with 5.56, 300 B/O, and 458 socom.

    I bought some 380, 9mm, and 45acp Saturday, just to replenish some of the ammo I have shot over the last 2 weekends.

    7-12 was my vote. Hard as it is to believe, I do sleep. And yes I do dream but not every dream deals with guns!

    Setting up my wife her own gunsmith work shop. Working toward building more guns than buying. Buying reloading equipment and stock piling reloading components. This is my short list, will still have to contend with impulse buys.

    I do not own a 30/30, never peaked my interest enough to acquire one. All other bases are sufficiently covered!

    What is the best rifle ever made?

    That gun is in the infancy of conception! Good for anything from humanly killing flies to leveling entire mountains. Exceptional accuracy from point blank to 2 miles. Has the recoil of a red Ryder BB gun and can be concealed while only wearing a thong!

    Ar15 16, 18, 20

    I have a 7.5", 10.5", 16", 18", and 20" barreled AR15's. With standard muzzle devices, from 16 - 20, there is no discernable difference in perceived noise. Linear compensators are a horse of a different color of which I do not own, so have no experience to share.

    Auto Ordnance Thompson

    The only thing I can add is, they are not left-hand friendly with stick mags. Your trigger finger, palm pad tends to release the mag while shooting!

    Rem222 has yet to write anything new. What was he asking about, barrel length vs. accuracy or barrel length vs. noise reduction?
