I am looking for a load that is good to shoot in an M1 garand. I have heard that standard 30-06 loads do not function well in the M1? Does anyone know why? Does anyone have a good load spec? Looking for powder, bullet, and primer combinations. Thank you.

Does anybody know or have information about a M1 garand, with a Century arms Inc. receiver. There is one for sale for $550 obo. Are they any good or bad? It looks good, has a nice stock, and a parkerized finish. Looking for info and opinions.

I us a Lyman powder measure. After its setup it meters very well. I check every 6 or 7 throws with a scale. The ball and flake powder meters very well . The extruded powder does meter ok . If it becomes problematic , then I thow an under charge into the (scale pan ) and trickle powder charge...
