What do you think about the new Glock RTF2 (4th Generation?) .40 Model 22?

Just picked one up. I love he frame with one exception - if you carry it next to bare skin (IWB, etc.), it will become painful after awhile. I just get around it by wearing an undershirt. I don't really have an opinion either for or against the new slide serrations. I am sure the...

What is the last gun that you bought?

    The full size S&W M&P.

Durability of J frame finish (Black)

I carry a 442 as my bug on duty every day in a pocket holster in cargo pants. The only wear is from incidental banging around in my locker at work. I love it. It's one of the few weapons I wouldn't sell and will most likely wind up in the hands of my grandchildren (with some "historical value).

    442 or 642 ???

The 642 isn't all stainless, just the cylinder and barrel. I went for the 442.

What CCW is meant to be shot "a lot"?

Any baby glock (26,27, etc.) and any j frame. I love my 442. I also love my sp101.

    Why a Revolver?

It's my bug because unlike an auto, a contact shot won't induce a malfunction.

How Many Rounds Through Your 642?

I've got about 200-300 rounds through 442. It's bug on duty and off. I trust it completely. If you wear it out S&W will take good care of you.

    I know little about revolvers!

I have a 442 and carry it as a back-up weapon on duty in a cargo pocket and appropriate holster. That was one of the best investments I ever made!

    Last time I'm gonna ask - M&P 9mm

When mine had issues, S&W made it right. They paid shipping, had quick turn around time, and the gun came back flawless. Mine was one of the early models of the .40 M&P full size. S&W is does a great job of listening to the end user and making adjustments to the weapon as necessary. Over the...

    Bought a S&W M&P compact .40 today

Congrats on a nice purchase. Even if you have problems initially, S&W's customer service is as good as it gets.

    Glocks?

I own multiple Glocks. I think that both the g17 and g19 are classics. If you plan on carrying it, the 19 will conceal easier due to the shorter grip. If you aren't going to conceal it, it would be a tough call based solely on what feels best and shoots best for you.

    S&W M&P or H&K USP 40?

I've owned both, currently I own neither having sold both of them. Both are good weapons. My agency issues the USP9c. We are finding that the average service life for the HK is about 20,000-30,000 rounds. Then, when they break, HK won't take care of us. The M&P is still unproven, but S&W...

Anyone CCW a Hi Power or other full-sized auto?

I carried a P-35 for a while with absolutely no problems. I am about 5'10" 170lbs. No one ever knew.

    Emerson locks--Strong enough?

I carry Emerson knives almost exclusively. I have never had on fail even under borderline abusive use. I have had a couple of knives where I thought that the liner lock was too close to the opposite edge during lock up (none of these failed btw). I sent them back to Emerson and they made...

    1911 flgr or standard?

I am the proud owner of a new Colt Combat Commander. It came with a FLGR. Is there any advantage over this (or disadvantage) to a standard guide rod? I don't like having to search for a tool to disassemble it.
