Hypothetical ? Guns mounted in cars?

I may be wrong, which tends to happen a bit, but I am under the impression that it is a federal offense to fire a weapon from a vehicle in any configuration... as far as private citizens are concerned. Having them loaded and ready to go is a different story mind you. I know here in SD it's...

    Price Question: Nylon 66's

Does anyone have any idea why Nylon 66 .22's, in many variations, would be selling for between $150 and $350 dollars at Cabela's... other than it's just Cabela's? I've read in many places that they are good rifles, and I've fired one before so I agree with that statement... just the...

    H-S Precision vs. McMillan

I don't know anything about McMillan stocks, but... HS stocks are fiberglass and carbon fiber with a poly-foam interior around an aluminum bedding block. The Kevlar is only a half inch by three inch strip in the grip to strenghten that area, in the M24 stocks there is also a strip at the...

    .357 mag levergun recommendations?

The local gun store here has both a .357 Henry and a Marlin 1894c and I think the Henry is better by far, altough it is more expensive. They use to have a pair of 336 .357's that were nice. Out of all of them the action on the Henry was the best on any lever gun I've ever touched. -Allen

Do all .357 Magnum caliber revolvers accept .38 Special also?

I ran into some guy at my local gunshop today, he didn't work there, who told me that a 357 Mag will also fire 38 colt... I'm highly skeptical on that because I have never read anything about this anywhere. -Allen

Does anyone NOT use expensive hollowpoint ammo in their defensive handguns?

For my .357 mag I use jacketed hollow points and for my .45 acp I use FMJ-RN. When I started reloading these were just economical (i.e., relatively cheap) and the more I shoot them and see what they do just in target shooting I wouldn't hesitate to use them for self defense. For me it's just...

    Hospitals and CCW

The one here in Rapid City has the generic "no weapons" sign that includes knives too if I remember right... it's been a while since I've been there... but I think it's one of those 'if you're not stupid about it no one will care' type things. -Allen

    1911 Recoil Spring Weight Question

That was the same problem with mags that I had. Both my mag and and my friends kimber mag failed to feed in my gun but fed perfectly through his. But I haven't used WWB or Blazer ammo. -Allen

    1911 Recoil Spring Weight Question

I had this same exact problem with my Springfield and actually solved it last week. I ruled out mags and ammo by recrimping all my ammo (all reloads) and using a friends magazine, his is a Kimber. I discovered it fed perfect once I took the extractor out and crappy once I put the extractor...

    Leather Holsters and Gun Rust???

I have a blued SA1911 mil-spec that I keep in a cheap reproduction WWII leather holster in my truck... and it has been in there all through last summer in the dryness and heat, and the winter and cold, and this year with all the unusual moisture and I've haven't seen one spot of rust on it yet...

    The 336 Club

Here's my 336W in .30-30: I just love it, it was the first rifle I bought and I will never part with it. Only the first three boxes through it have been factory, then the odd hollow point or leverrevolution, and everything else has been reloads and I've not had one problem with it...

Greetings yall, I've been shooting for a couple of years now and just recently have gotten into reloading my own bullets. That's how I found this page, searching for reloading information and checking out everyone else's bench setups, and there sure are some swell ones out there. -Allen
