    What Pistol do you carry.

I will carry a plain-Jane Colt 1911A1 in a Kholster IWB hybrid tuckable holster for ease of use and maximum concealment, or a Ruger P95 double stack 9mm in a similar holster, depending on my needs at the moment. I often have my Mauser HSC 380 at my ankle as a backup, or as primary in a custom...

    Concealed Carry Fanny Pack?

I have used Tommy' Gun Pack (tommysgunpack.com) for many years. Best made, quietest to deploy, easiest to use.

    .22lr Ammunition

" Several million rounds a day all total. ATK group is producing around 7-8 million rounds per day. To put that into perspective that would be 8000 100 round boxes." ...Looks like you are off by a factor of 10. But what's nought between friends?

Supersonic .22s w/ Suppressor: Worth it?

Suppressed 10-22? My 10-22 Carbine is the only firearm I use without ear protection. Even with hyper-velocity ammo I do not feel the need. My Colt New Frontier Buntline (7" bbl) .22 is a different story. I need my muffs on to shoot it with standard velocity .22, to say nothing of 22WMR.

In the market for a pocket 380

Go retro If budget is a problem and reliability is primary (as it should be) -- I carry a Mauser HSC in 380. Beautiful firearm, smaller than most current models (and heavier, being all steel), with rounded corners and good sights. Should be able to find one well under $300 somewhere.

Worst lines you've heard from gun sellers?

Sounds to me like a buyer who realizes that the seller knows bupkiss about .22lr ammo and thinks "long rifle" has to go in a rifle.

    .45 and 1911 losing ground?

Taking it a little further... The area of a circle is pi X the radius (1/2 the diameter)squared, so the area of the 9mm is 3.1416 X .177 squared (.0316). Thus, 9mm = .0989 sq.inch. .45 cal diameter = .1597 sq. inch. So the area (size of the hole) of the .45 is 1.6X the area of the 9mm...

    .45 and 1911 losing ground?

Close, but no cigar. Let me take a stab at it... That's not correct. What that's showing is that .0990 = 61% of .1605. So, what that really means is that .1605 is 39% larger than .0990. For .1605 to be 61% larger, the other number would have to be .06259 (39% of .1605). You subtract 61%...
