There are a few decent shops in Union and Anson counties. I frequent them and the people are down to earth and are willing to talk guns instead of worrying about commissions, etc. PM me if you want some names of shops or have questions..
I went to the Concord show as well. Got a pretty good deal on a LPK and a Magpul mag. Other than that, I wasnt there to buy anything just to look around. Was really crowded yesterday...they should have had the show in the other larger building.
I received quite a few old knives from my grandfathers and great-grandfathers over the years. I am interested in restoring a few of them and displaying them with my nice knives in my display case. Any websites or tips to working/restoring old knives?

How stupid are some employers? What difference does it make in a locked, secure, vehicle anyways? If the employer is anti-gun they should just not allow carry. (Which is dumb as well.)

Cool I understood the whole intent deal but I was more or less wondering how something like that could be proven... As you said a person could legally purchase a sks (for example) from a FFL and decide the next day to sell it to someone FTF, there would not be any reprocussions legally because...
What if the person over 21 buying the weapon keeps it for themselves for a period of time then sells privately? Is there a certain amount of time that would make the straw purchase irrelevant?
