    Reloading 7.62x54R

The shell plate is 16L which is a special order from Lee. A simple google search or a call to Lee would have given you the answer. Now a little advice. If you have never reloaded before, choosing a Loadmaster is not a good idea. The Loadmaster usually requires tinkering to work correctly...

Power Pistol, bought some for the heck of it...

I also loaded 7.62x25 with PowerPistol. What a light show! The flash was so bright, people thought the range had been turned into a disco. As for 9mm (124gr rn copper plated), [email protected] was my load.

    Help/Advice/ Dead peoples reloading gear.

As to the bullet purchase, while that is a great price (Grafs wants $19/100) that is a $600 purchase and you haven't even decided if you want to reload. Even if you do decide to reload, you may find that duplicating your friends load is a lot more difficult than you anticipated. Or that...

    New Illinois law

First, it's not a background check. It's a check to see if the buyers FOID card is still valid and not revoked. Second, only the lost or stolen part of the law is effective immediately. The FOID card check doesn't go into effect until Jan 1, 2014.

    reloading for friends question

I don't reload for friends or anyone else. Not because of concerns of liability or legality but because if I did, I would be spending all my free time making ammo for everyone. If a friend wishes to come over and pull the handle while I supervise, no problem. Funny how no one has taken me up...

    Hornady Case Feeder Issues

The bowl is definitely out of alignment with the chute. The reason there is a U shaped cutout on the plastic chute is for accessing the adjustment screw. The cutout should be aligned over that screw. Call Hornady, they will fix you up.

Inexpensive Bullet Feeding on Turret or Progressive Press

Uh, before you get all excited. Looks to me that RCBS is selling their standard bullet feed die with the caliber specific plastic fingers pre-installed. They include a couple tubes for loading. Will have same issues as before, fingers wearing, etc.

    .357 brass life

Speer is right. Note that it says 'for maximum loads' This is good advice for any caliber. If you are making maximum loads you should only use new or 1x fired brass.

Filled another bucket of APS strips

Why not sell a bunch. Many load their own strips and would love to buy more empty strips.
