What about a Mini 14 in .223 cal?

I got a Ruger 10-22 with a 4X32 Scope. I gave my son a Savage 64 22LR.

I have a Westpoint 645 made by Savage. It looks like a Browning with the flat back. I cannot find the Serial #. One site said it was made for Cotter and Company. My father gave me this gun when I was 15 or so. Any info would be appreciated.
