Try turning the whole seating die down a quarter turn and try running your load into the seating die again. It should add some crimp and seat deeper at the same time. I don't normally use the 4th die.

I can't get my pickup truck worked on because the owner of the car lot/ repair shop doesn't know if he can have his business open! This is insane. I'm glad I have provisions to load something up as I set up my loading area after a recent move. I'm getting tired of prepping brass and sizing...

I use both Bullseye and CFE-Pistol. A pound of Bullseye went a long way!

Having trouble finding Win296/H110 I found some AA#9 that makes for a real nice magnum powder with regular primers in .44 magnum and I understand works great in .30 carbine. Glad I picked up several pounds of it now. :D

Good info DR915. I seated mine a bit longer at 1.13 I think. Not sure when I will be able to get out and test these loads. Our range is only open on weekends in the Winter and I have to work this next one. :(

My pet load for .38 special and 148 grain lead double ended wadcutters would include HP-38 and Red dot. HP-38 for bulk loading and Red dot for weighing every charge smaller runs. I am guessing Bullseye or Unique for your bullets would work well. Haven't done much with 700-X.
