    Kholster w/laser offer

JimmyM (Mr. Kholster) and I are flipping email about him getting real molds for the PF-9. He's offered up this deal: Please pass this around to the other forums you hang out on, and of course look through your pile of stuff to see if you can help him out!

Ruger Mark III or 22/45 .22 advice

The one on the left is a 6", the right is a 5". He'll be happy with the accuracy of either one, and either one will get you at your budget (based on online pricing, in-store will possibly be higher, but you'll balance that against the cost of shipping & FFL transfer fees). One thing... The...

Ruger Mark III or 22/45 .22 advice

$300 is gonna be skitchy depending on which Mark III you're looking at if you're buying new: http://bit.ly/9GA9o7 (that's just a quick search example) I would _NOT_ recommend the Mosquito as something to give someone in an attempt to try to get them into handguns. While I don't have problems...

What caused this case to bulge?

I read the topic title and thought "Wow, were you in my neck of the woods on Saturday???" :) So, my wifery and I were at the range on Saturday, just getting set up. We have our routine, I pull out the guns and ammo, she pulls out & hangs targets, we both load. She has a new .45 that she's...

    Best Slide Lubrication

Did you remember to do a short change and a flush after moving to synthetic from dino oil?

    What would you do?

If you shot 1,000 rounds through the gun, then outside of the pure mathematical percentage, what GUARANTEE do you have that round #1001 will go off? None, Zero, Zip, Nadda. This is why there are snap caps and buddy-drills to deal with slap/rack 'n go. Ditto - no exceptions.

    Engraving Reference

I gave Gary a hi-rez JPG of a scan of the original brush artwork that a friend did (basically a larger version of the first pic). He took that and traced it by hand to create a vector map drawing. Vector maps are cool 'cause you can resize them without loosing resolution. The CNC engraver then...

    Engraving Reference

(Engraving's an accessory, right? :) ) My better half and I have a Kanji tattoo on us that's the meaning behind a phrase we say to one-another - "Never In My Life". ref: We've been wanting to get that on our carry guns for a while, but we never seemed to be able to find the right guy to...

    Ruger Mark III 22/45 reassembly

I've been through a lot of the re-assembly sites for my MKIII, I think this is one of the best: http://www.guntalk-online.com/2245detailstripping.htm#m3dsreassembly

    Can you convince me otherwise?

I just picked up a Kimber Ultra Carry II this morning. We'd been shooting a rental (so, a _well_ broken in gun) for a couple of weeks at our local range and my better half decided that it had to be our next BANG! toy. The range gun is an AWESOME shooter... I was blown away. We enjoyed shooting...

Why buy from the gun store?

Just to close out my piece of this thread... Cash didn't talk as much as I was hoping for this morning, but it saved me a bit. I did the deal anyway, and was happy to put some extra cash into the shop and the local community. My conscious will be clearer the next time I leverage their FFL. :)

Why buy from the gun store?

Is that the person that you contacted up above, about 6 hours ago? Was that through direct email or something like GunBroker's "contact the seller" link? Remember that some folks that are selling online have other businesses as well, they may only check the "online business" a couple of times...

Why buy from the gun store?

Agreed, and that's what the plan is tomorrow. My better half is itching for a ____ (no need to start a "oh those suck!" side discussion). There's one in the shop, and I'm pretty sure it's been there for a bit. It's pricey enough that I'll be walking in with cash as leverage. In these times...

Why buy from the gun store?

I have a general comment on the thread, but since I'm shopping in the same area as you, I'll leverage your statement. :) I've been on a buying spree lately, and in general, I _REALLY_ do want to put some money through my local stores, but when the difference in price is equal to the cost of...

    Ruger Mark III Clicking Trigger

If you do decide to take it apart, figure on it _NOT_ going back together the way you pulled it apart since I think it's wrong now as it is. I've been through a lot of the MKIII re-assembly sites, I think this one is the best...
