    Joined new league

I shoot two bullseye leagues a week. It's great fun and gets me out of the house. Of those two guns I would use the 686 with a 38 cal cartridge.

    S&W 4506 for Bullseye?

IMO a DA/SA trigger is going to hold you back. Practice your fundamentals with your Springfield Loaded target model. Your scores will go up.

Smith & Wesson model 41 question

The good thing about the newer model 41's is that the barrel is already drilled and tapped in case you want to mount a red dot. If you plan to shoot bullseye you will probably want to eventually use a red dot scope. A weaver number 62 mount cost about $7.00 and an Ultra dot scope is about $120.

    trigger lock, 20/20 was right

I'm hoarding my trigger locks and as soon as there is a shortage I'm going to sell them on gun broker for 4X more than I paid. Hey I can dream can't I. :D

.22 for defense/house gun. who has one?

The question of stopping power comes up a lot. Perhaps a better discussion would be stopping time. Good shot placement will greatly reduce the oppurtunity time an attacker has to harm you. A 22LR in the eyeball will drop someone in their tracks, but an eyeball is a small target that is hard to...

    Bullseye shooting with iron sights

Using iron sights, it's easier to accept aiming area. As I developed better trigger control the red dot settled down giving the advantage to the red dot for calling where shots went. My scores are slightly better with a red dot. I like using iron sights to practice iron sight fundamentals for...

    Budsgunshop.com shipping restrictions

Thanks Rex, that's excellent news! It's great that this was resolved without adding restrictions on Maryland other than the laws already imposed on us by MD. Welcome back to Maryland. I hope that our state helps add to your sales base.

    Budsgunshop.com shipping restrictions

For Gods sakes trying to get you guys to sell guns to Maryland is like pulling teeth! Rex, I see your conversation with the ATF going like this: Buds: If I don't break any laws, will you take away my FFL? ATF: No Buds: Why did you take away my friends FFL? ATF: Because he broke...

    Budsgunshop.com shipping restrictions

Rex, You seem like a nice guy, and I appreciate that you're discussing this important issue in such a public place, and are even now considering lifting your total gun ban in Maryland since you joined THR. But, I have a concern about your shop working only with a select few FFLs in my state...

    Budsgunshop.com shipping restrictions

I'll will always remember the dealers that tough it out first. Remember that if you decide to come back to Maryland that others in MD will share my same feelings. Also remember that once you start going into a direction not required by law, you will also alienate gun owners in every state.

I can't wait until we gain control of handguncontrol.org. Just think...that would be a great site to teach proper handgun control techniques such as proper trigger control, stance, grip, etc with the goal to improve marksmanship skills :neener:

Maryland - Ammunition Tax and Encoding Bill is Back

I sent MICHAEL ERIN BUSCH, Speaker of House of Delegates an e-mail yesterday expressing my concerns about microstamping proposals. Suggest others in Maryland express their concerns to him as well. http://www.msa.md.gov/msa/mdmanual/06hse/html/msa12196.html I think that the biggest problem...
