Try some 95gr Magtech JFP through your CZ, a lot of people here get excellent results with it in their 9mm guns. I have loaded some 95gr also and it shoots pretty good in my CZ. Well over 1300 fps, snappy but in no way punishing recoil (snappy but soft might describe it), simply easy to shoot.

Ah, that might explain why some doesn't have any problem, while some of us do. Like you I also prime using other methods.

YES! Haven't had problems priming S&B .38 or .357, but their 9mm simply sucks.

I have shot thousands of S&B in both 9mm, .38 Spec and .357 mag (in decreasing amounts). Never had a primer that didn't go boom on the first try, except that time with my 686 when the screw that pushes on the hammerspring had backed out. Are you sure that's not what have happened? About S&B...

You can't count on anything reliably killing the priming compound. I don't bother. I can't count the numbers of primers I've crushed/put sideways etc that I have removed without any going off, but be careful and go slow nonetheless. Just realized Bushmaster forgot to mention hearing...

I use 5.5-5.6gr N340 both for 9mm with 124gr jacketed and .38 with 158gr. The .38 load is pretty stout, 5.6gr N340 is the listed max for a 158 gr Speer HP. 9mm is also on the upper range, but both work just fine for me in my CZ-75 and S&W 686 with various bullets.
